RElab pitch day 2021

RElab announces 16 Pitch Day finalists for a place in its 2021 scale-up programme

RElab – the Goldacre-curated scale-up programme – held its Pitch Day in London on Thursday 11th November, where 16 start-ups from across the globe pitched for a place on its upcoming scale-up programme.

The innovators, representing 9 countries, are helping our built world re-shape and re-imagine the relationships between space, people, services and sustainability.

You can see all the pitches here: Pitch Day 2021

The 16 start-ups pitched to RElab’s ecosystem of industry partners and mentors, who were also involved in sourcing and shortlisting the companies.

RElab’s corporate partners include Capreon, JCA Engineering, Kier, Knight Frank, Landsec, Lockton, Logifruit, Mace, RSBG, Sacyr and White & Case.

The RElab 2021 cohort, which will be announced in the coming weeks, will have the opportunity to engage with RElab’s ecosystem during its 14-week programme.

Start-ups will benefit from working on pilot and commercial opportunities and tailored mentorship focused on fine-tuning product-market fit. In addition, the start-ups will receive an initial investment of £100,000 from Goldacre following the due diligence.

Pitch Day Finalists

Arx Alliance (UK): Arx Alliance is a cyber-risk management platform that allows corporate users to identify, evaluate and risk-score their suppliers and other third-party contacts.

ASDRO (Germany): ASDRO offers efficient surveying of the surface and subsurface by drone and uses proprietary hardware and software to collect and process complex subsurface data.

Avvir (US): Avvir’s AI platform compares reality-capture data against the BIM model to algorithmically quantify construction progress and evaluate construction quality in a hardware agnostic solution that ingests and analyses both 360-degree photos and laser scans in near real-time.

Cambridge Carbon Capture (UK): Cambridge Carbon Capture has developed a patented technology which removes CO2 from the atmosphere and converts it into a usable, versatile and widely marketable material that is strong, lightweight, extremely fire and water resistant.

Earthly (UK): Earthly is a platform that connects businesses to high-quality nature-based solutions (projects that remove carbon & restore nature) and provides a 3D visualisation of the investment’s sustainability impact.

Farad.ai (UK): Farad.ai is developing a digital twin for the power system, to provide an AI-powered map that will allow users to select the best locations for low-carbon technologies, like solar farms and to run simulations to prevent grid congestion.

Hiboo (France): Hiboo is a SaaS application that analyses construction equipment — usage, safety, consumption and maintenance to deliver a completely new way to visualise and manage fleet and job sites operations.

Hyperion Robotics (Finland): Hyperion Robotics has developed a robotic system that automatically produces reinforced concrete structures that eliminate waste by up to 90% and cost and execution time by up to 70%.

Morta (UK): Morta provides a next-generation spreadsheet for construction, project and asset managers to collect high-quality data, connect data and automate processes, to transition from analogue document-centric workflows to an automated data-centric workflow.

Nomoko (Switzerland): Nomoko has developed an end-to-end process that captures and digitises the real world in a semantically segmented, hyper accurate, geo-referenced 3D maps of Digital Twins to automate due diligence and extrapolate legal, spatial, location and market data on new investment opportunities.

Podaris (UK): Podaris is a real-time online collaboration platform for planners, engineers, policymakers and public stakeholders to rapidly draft from scratch or import from existing projects to quickly test ideas.

R8 Tech (Estonia): R8tech has developed a cloud-based, AI-driven software that monitors HVAC system: condition, climate and energy efficiency to cut energy costs & CO2 emissions up to 30%, improve indoor climate stability and provide novel fault diagnostics.

Rebartek (Norway): Rebartek automates rebar installation and produces bespoke reinforcement cages using an automated robotic manufacturing process to deliver precision rebar cages on short notice.

Unmanned Life (UK): Unmanned Life orchestrates autonomous robotics with IP leading 5G, Edge and AI enabled software platform which can deploy and manage vast swarms of heterogenous robotic devices.

Voyage Control (UK): Voyage Control has developed a cloud-based platform to manage, optimise, track, and communicate deliveries to streamline their customer’s end-to-end logistics and supply chain.

Ynomia (Australia): Ynomia offers an end-to-end solution to enable connected jobsites, which locate in real-time: people, materials, plant and equipment to convert worksites into an IOT digital twin that harnesses real-time data to build faster and safer.
